How To Dye Coontails/Racoon Stripes on Hair

Yay, I love coontails!! xPP
Last week, I just got coontail right on my hair.
I made it by myself and I'd like to tell you how.
Here we go .... :

Watch how I do my coontails : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yy_-RWLoGa4

You must need :
1) Hair bleaching (powder + developer 9% or 12%)
2) Hair dye color (for coontails)
3) Scotch tape
4) Hair straighteners
5) Hair dye brush or new painting brush
6) Towel

How to do it :
Before everything getting started, be sure about the color you want to make coontails/racoon stripes on hair. If you have black/others dark hair, then red, light blue, neon green, pink, light purple, yellow, orange, or light blonde would looks best on you. If you have blonde/light hair, then lucky you because all colors would suit on you. If you get your options, straightening your hair with hair straightener. This will be very helpful to "draw" your coontails. MAKE IT REALLY STRAIGHT. Then, bleach your hair that ONLY you would like to put coontails on it. Bleaching o dark hair may need few process to get the light hair. So, do bleach your dark hair 3-5 times. When your desired hair turns brighten like blonde, go on with racoon stripes.
Take your hair and put scotch tape on the area that you won't get hair dye. Put the scotch tape TIGHTLY. No worries about this, scotch tape will easily get off your hair when rinse. Okay, so start painting stripes on your non-taped hair. Gently but boldly spread the dye with hair dye brush or new painting brush or just simply use your finger. After it's all done, wait for 30 minutes before rinse. When 30 minutes is done, rinse it off gently and the scotch tape will pull off by itself from your hair. Then, towel dry your hair -- don't use hairdryer.
There it is.! Your own coontails is born.. :))

Cautions :
If you're NOT SURE doing this by yourself, then GO TO THE PROFESSIONAL SALON. They know exactly how to treat before-after dyed hair coontails.

Have fun..!!

Tease Scene Hair :]

Okay, I'd like to mention how to tease scene hair from normal to big puffy styles. It's much easy to do, and you can find things that needed at many stores. :))

Necessary Things :
- Hairspray (strong or super strong type are recommend)
- Tease comb
- Brush hair
- Hair layers

Addictions Things :
- Hair mousse (volumizing is recommend)
- Flat ironed hair
- Hair dryer
- Hair proctectant

Natural Tease Hair :
If you don't want big 'puffy' on your hair, you can go to natural tease hair. It could seems to be 'non-tease', but that's why I called it natural tease hair.
Shampoo your hair first, make it dry with hair-dryer OR if you don't have, let the air dry it. Use hair protectant to save your hair from damage and use flat ironed to straighten your hair after that, you want it looks natural so make your entirely hair 'sure' straight. Spread hair mousse to your hair and then spray the layers you're going to tease. Gently take your hair layer little by little to tease, this is how it works : gently & slowly tease roots area with tease comb, then spray it lil bit much with hairspray only the roots. Make sure it's keep natural, not big. After you done it all with your layers, use hair brush gently on your teased hair. Then, spray it again.

Normal Tease Hair :
This is normal tease hair that scene groups usually do.
Just after you done shampoo your hair, immediately dry it with hairdryer or the air. Spray with hair protectant and start straighten your hair with flat ironed. Don't forget to mousse your hair. Spray your hair use hair spray, especially on roots area. Take your hair layer then tease it use tease comb, spray it. Remember to tease it one by one of your layer & after tease rush to spray it until it's stand. Brush your end of the hair gently (that've teased) to make it puffy. Keep spray it, you can arrange by your hands to make a puffy you want of. Last thing, spray it all over especially the roots and puff's areas.

Big Tease Hair :
Want some drama? The choice is here.!
It is so important to shampoo hair first then let it dry by hairdryer whether by the air. Now, put some hair protectant that prevent 'hair ruin'. Then, use flat ironed/hair straightner to straighten your hair. Adds volumizing mousse (should be) on all of your hair, put more on layers. Okay, so go tease your hair layers then spray..spray..spray 'till it's all stand up. Brush it down but preserve to be 'big & full', spray it again.

Tips Bellow :
- Keep the spray's not too much, it can causes hair loss & 'hair disease'.
- Your hair should be protected by hair protectant before teasing EVERYTIME.
- If you're not shampoo your hair before teasing, it can become oily easily.
- Scene hair is layered, so make sure you have some or even plenty of layers. Moreover, teasing without layers will result more round hair shaped. It'll looks strange.
